Awards & Recognition

In 1991 and 1992, Dan Williams worked closely with the United States Congress to advance the creation of the best possible energy policy bill. His pro bono work succeeded in getting 33 pages of energy-efficient legislation into the Energy Policy Act of 1992, which is now law. For his tireless efforts, Mr. Williams was honored with the International Special Recognition Award by the Association of Energy Engineers.

“I apprenticed for my father’s heating, air conditioning, sheet metal, roofing, and general contracting company from the time I was eight. He was the smartest man I ever knew, and he taught me the building business from the bottom up. At 16, he made me manager of his rental property. During college, I renovated a house and rented out rooms to pay my tuition, and in 1987 I brought my talent to the Washington metropolitan area and started buying, fixing, selling, and leasing real estate. Buildings and real estate are in my blood -- I love it!”
